I also find Zak interesting but far from funny or inoffensive. In fact, I think he has ALL the attributes which go with dangerous con men-- the most impressive of those are that he can fool people into thinking he is funny and inoffensive! I will try to find time to illustrate that from his own writings later. For now, Shazza said: you have certainly proved that you have a sense of humor and wit. Zak is resourceful and glib but much of the humor he has contributed here is trite, imitative or old. Some of it IS funny but a lot of the attempts are not. By contrast, CX is genuinely funny in an original way. You're also able to argue your point without getting offensive. Excuse me, but his constant evasion, and especially his tangentiality are highly offensive to those of us that want to understand what he is claiming. I am fascinated that you (and presumably many others) fail to see this! Detecting tangentiality is essential to avoiding being conned. It works like this-- you ask the car salesman, "Has the speedometer
been turned back" and he responds, "Hey! What do YOU think?! This car looks
fresh off the assembly line and probably hasn't been driven except to church
by a little old lady with tennis shoes." Both of you chuckle and you drop
the question. But maybe the car's speedometer has been turned back and
you still don't know it or maybe it didn't have to be. The salesman may
not have told you it has gone past 100,000 miles twice and is showing 35,000
meaning 235,000! The correct response is, "How many miles has the car actually
been driven and can you prove it?" Not many people persist at the risk
of seeming inquisitive or rude but that is what is needed.
Always remember: When dealing with a con man, it's the part you don't completely understand that is going to get you! THAT is how multilevel marketing and chain pyramids like the recent "airplane" and "dinner party for women only" nasty scams work. Zak is difficult to debate because he offers few facts and those he
offers almost always originate in questionable authorities. It leads one
to wander if he has EVER done an experiment himself or knows how!
What more can one want? Like I said, I'll get to that! I think honesty and candor are good starts. Will you get those from Zak? Probably not before the next asteroid hits the Earth. It is gratifying that you agree that he has shown no evidence whatever of the existence of anything paranormal, least of special powers of his own. At best, he has shown us that he fooled some newspaper reporters with sleight of hand close up magic when he did his "telekinesis". Not bad, but not exceptional. If I'm wrong, Zak, please tell us (approximately only) how much weight you can displace, given no wind or other disruptive forces, by the power of mind alone, in grams, and what distance in centimeters and what percent of the time you attempt it do you succed? And if external factors affect your ability, what are they and how do they affect it? Anyone who can REALLY do telekinesis should be able to answer those rather obvious questions and back up the responses in an laboratory setting! Zak's unresponsive response illustrates the
point
