Re: Does Science "Contradict" Experience?

"...if anything CAN be known, Science alone is that which permits us to know them."

This is an absurd and meaningless statement. Science can only categorize information, it cannot allow us to "know" anything that we have not already grasped intuitively. All scientific theories and inventions begin as inspired, intuitive insights which owe nothing whatever to science.
Furthermore, science is based on mathematical models which do not fully or accurately reflect certain aspects of reality. We can see this very clearly when we make quantum measurements.

The observation that hearing and sight differ from taste and smell in that the former involve interpretation whereas the latter do not is both silly and wrong. All sensory experience is subject to "interpretation", including taste and smell. I find it astonishing that a prominent neuropsychologist would make such a misinformed statement.
